Lot Traceability Receiving Checklist

Updated 2026-07-24 · 4 min read

Lot traceability starts at receiving: confirm SKU and lot on the label, match the COA, file paperwork with inventory, and flag mismatches before use in research workflows.

At the loading dock

Compare the packing slip, vial label, and order confirmation. Note temperature packaging if cold chain applies.

Do not assume documentation ships inside the box for every SKU — check the product page documentation status and COA Library.

Three-way match

Order line item → physical label → COA lot number. If any leg fails, quarantine the material until documentation is resolved.

Photograph or scan labels when your QA program requires immutable receiving records.

File with intent

Store COAs where your team can retrieve them by lot during audits. Link internal inventory IDs to supplier lot numbers in your LIMS or spreadsheet.

BioLight Labs order references appear in confirmation email and the My Orders portal after checkout.
